Investigator training: Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (SEAH)

Sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment continue to be a pervasive and devastating issue within international humanitarian and development efforts.

A key approach to addressing SEAH is training professionals from civil society organisations, UN agencies, peacekeeping personnel and national government stakeholders in how to identify, report, and investigate incidents in a professional, survivor-centred and trauma-informed manner.

OSACO offers a four-day intensive training on investigating cases of SEAH with a focus on survivor-centred and trauma-informed approaches.

Prior to the four-day training, participants will go through an e-learning course outlining the key aspects of an SEAH investigation. Participants will be provided with pre-reading materials. In the four-day training we move from theory to practice.

During the in-person training you will conduct a SEAH investigation with a case study relevant to your context and scope of operation. We will dedicate two days to role-plays in which you can learn, within a safe space, to conduct investigative interviews. You will receive constructive feedback sessions after each interview.

“Very well balanced between theory and examples. Very professional and inspiring facilitators, very amazing training. Thank you so much!” – Participant INGO, Paris 2024
